European Compliance Documentation

CE Marking Technical File Support

KastMfg provides the technical documentation required for CE marking: material certificates, dimensional reports, pressure test data, X-ray inspection records, and process documentation. CE marking is the equipment manufacturer's responsibility; KastMfg supplies the conformity evidence for their technical file.

REACH Compliance

EU REACH (EC) No. 1907/2006 requires documentation that products contain no SVHC substances above 0.1% by weight. KastMfg provides REACH compliance declarations for all alloys and surface treatments:

• A380, A360, A413, ADC12 aluminum: REACH compliant -no SVHC above threshold
• Zamak 3, Zamak 5 zinc: REACH compliant
• AZ91D, AM60B magnesium: REACH compliant
• Surface treatments: Declarations for powder coat, anodizing, e-coat, chromate conversion

Hexavalent chromium note: Cr6+ is REACH SVHC restricted. KastMfg uses only trivalent chromate (Cr3+ RoHS compliant) as standard. Hexavalent chromate is not used.

RoHS Compliance

All KastMfg alloys and surface treatments comply with EU RoHS Directive 2011/65/EU. Compliance declarations available on request.
