ISO 9001:2015
Scope: Design and manufacture of aluminum, zinc, and magnesium high-pressure die casting components, including CNC machining, surface finishing, and assembly at our Nanjing facility.
ISO 9001:2015 certification verified by annual surveillance audits and triennial recertification audits. Certificate copies available on request.
IATF 16949 Compliance
KastMfg operates IATF 16949:2016 compliant processes for all automotive customer programs:
- APQP -Advanced Product Quality Planning on all new automotive programs
- PFMEA -Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis maintained for all production processes
- Control Plans -all critical and significant characteristics documented
- MSA / Gage R&R -on all critical measurement systems before production start
- SPC -statistical process control on critical dimensions in production
- PPAP Level 1- -full submission capability, direct Tier 1 experience
ISO 14001 -Environmental Management
ISO 14001 certification covers: alloy scrap recycling, cooling water treatment and recirculation, and energy consumption reduction targets per tonne of casting produced.
Material Compliance
REACH (EC 1907/2006): All alloys and surface treatments: no SVHC above 0.1% threshold. Declarations available per product.
RoHS (2011/65/EU): All alloys and surface treatments compliant. Declarations available.
Hexavalent chromium: Only trivalent chromate (Cr3+ RoHS compliant) used. Hexavalent chromate not used.
IMDS: Data maintained for all alloys and surface treatment combinations used in automotive programs.
EN 10204 Material Certificates
- Type 2.2 (works certificate) -standard delivery
- Type 3.1 (inspection certificate) -available on request

How KastMfg Manages Certification Continuity
ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 certifications require ongoing compliance -not just a one-time audit. KastMfg maintains certification through:
Internal audits: Full internal quality audit against ISO 9001 requirements conducted annually by trained internal auditors (not production personnel). Corrective actions for all findings are tracked to closure before the external surveillance audit.
Management review: Quarterly quality performance review by senior management, covering: customer satisfaction data, internal audit results, process performance metrics, supplier performance, and resource adequacy.
Calibration management: All measurement equipment is calibrated at defined intervals by accredited calibration laboratories. Calibration certificates are maintained electronically and reviewed by the Quality team. Equipment found out of calibration triggers a review of all measurement data since the last in-calibration date.
Training records: All quality-affecting personnel maintain documented training records. New quality techniques, equipment changes, and process modifications require formal training completion before operators are authorized on the affected process.
