What Furniture OEMs Should Know Before Tooling
- Finish first. Specify the finish at DFM stage - plating-grade surfaces need different die polishing and zero visible flow lines, which affects gate placement
- Weight targets. Zamak's density is a feature in handles but a cost in shipping; aluminum or hollow-back designs cut freight weight on big programs
- Assembly interfaces. Cast-in threads, press-fit pins, and spring features are all routine - tell us the assembly method and we design the interface into the die
