Furniture hardware is one of zinc die casting's natural homes: handles, hinges, connectors, locks, and fittings that must look flawless on the showroom floor while surviving years of daily use. KastMfg produces furniture hardware for OEM and private-label programs, from as-cast decorative parts to load-bearing structural fittings.

Finishes That Sell Furniture

  • Powder coating - matte black, white, and RAL colors with excellent scratch resistance

What Furniture OEMs Should Know Before Tooling

  1. Finish first. Specify the finish at DFM stage - plating-grade surfaces need different die polishing and zero visible flow lines, which affects gate placement
  2. Weight targets. Zamak's density is a feature in handles but a cost in shipping; aluminum or hollow-back designs cut freight weight on big programs
  3. Assembly interfaces. Cast-in threads, press-fit pins, and spring features are all routine - tell us the assembly method and we design the interface into the die
  4. MOQ reality. Furniture hardware tooling pays back around 10,000 pieces per SKU; low-volume options exist for collection testing
